COURSING.

TARANAKI PLUMPTON CLUB. SEASON OPENS TO-DAY. The Taranaki Plumpton Coursing Club opens the season at New Plymouth this afternoon with novice and open courses. The grounds at Glenavon are in excellent order, and *the hares are in splendid condition. Nominations closed on Thursday night, and both stakes have filled, among the competitors being dogs from Auckland and Wanganui, and all parts of Taranaki. The first course takes place at 1 o'clock, and the club anticipates a big attendance and an interesting afternoon’s sport.
