LONDON MARKETS. By Te’legraph.— Press Awn.—Copyright. London, May 25. Tallow.—At the sales 1584 casks were offered, and 1505 sold. Mutton, fine, 35s 6d; medium, 325. Beef, fine, 395; medium, 345; good mixed, 35s <6d. Rabbit Skins. —-At the sales 2000 bales were offered and about two-thirds sold at 10 per cent, decline. WELLINGTON WOOL SALES. By Telegraph —-Press Associatioß. Wellington, May 26. The first wool sales in the Dominion since the producers’ decision to postpone all selling is now proceeding in the Town Hail. Buyers represented all markets. Bradford is doing most of the business. France is also active, but America is not keenly interested. Growers’ Ideas of value are more in line with the parity of the last London sales, and the result was generally a satisfactory clearance of catalogues. Competition for short fine wool was keen. One WaJrarapa clip of fine Romneys realised 6%d, for some Nelson, wools 9*4d to 9%d was given, and half-breds brought up to 9%d.
