TWO AT NEW PLYMOUTH. A THIRD ONE DUE TO-NIGHT. Two large overseas steamers are ai present at New Plymouth, the Austral’ crag at the wharf discharging slag from Europe, and the Waimate lying in th« stream awaiting a berth to load meat] dairy produce, wool ete. Another over seas steamer, the Tregarthen, a vessel of 4263 tons, is due to arrive to-night with a cargo of fertiliser from New Orleans, While the C. and D. liner Port Victor is due on Wednesday from Melbourne to load 31,000 freight carcases of frozen meat. Following in quick succession are five other vessels, the West Wind from New York, Suffolk tc load for the United Kingdom, Waiotapu from San Francisco, Dorset from England to load, Peshawur from England tc load, and West Hixton from New York with cargo. The Australcrag is expected to sail for Sydney to-day, providing that the weather allows of the completion of her discharge, and a berth being thus made available, the Waimate will be brought alongside to load. The Tregarthen, on arrival, will have to anchor outside till the Waimate clears, probably in about five days’ time. The Port Victor will be in port before the Tregarthen has been worked, and she in turn will have to stand by to awa.it a berth. In addition to these vessels there is the usual coastal traffic.
