Orders for papers may also ba left with them. May 24. At the committe e meeting of the Stratford A. and P. Association, held on Saturday, May 21, the following were elected an executive committee for the ensuing year:—Mr. G. •Sa'ngster (President), J. W. Boon, M. T. Phillips, A. 11. Huggett, H. A. Hunt, E. Linnell, Claude Marchant, W 7 . Pettigrew, W. Pollock, G. A. Tipler, L. D. Webster and D. O’Sullivan. The following additional names were added to the general committee: Messrs. W. T. Bailey, J. M. Bowman, D. M. Clarke, R. D. Dagg, E. Luke, N. B. Fletcher, S. Gadsby, W. Hardy-Jones, A. L. Hooper, G. Jones, W. Judd, A. S. H. Kendrick, J. Mahon, A. Marfell, D. P. Malone, C. Moore, W. McGuinness, B. Orr, J. Parrish, W. H. Paynter, J. Reith, B. E. Richmond, W. H. Rutledge, i L. K. Tarrant, J. H. Thomas, E. S. Walker, and J. R. Woolaston. It was resolved that general committee meetings be held on the 20th (if Saturday falls on that date) or on the first Saturday after the 20th of each month at 1.30 p.nu Mr. G. Sangster was nominated as the association’s delegate to attend the annual conference of the N.Z. Council of Agriculture, to be held in Wellington early in July.
Arrangements are well forward in connection with the dance which is being held in the Town Hall on Thursday evening (May 26) in aid of the funds of the Egniont (Ladies) and Stratford Hockey Clubs. The two committees are working hard to ensure the success of the function, and judging by the number of tickets already sold, the attendance should be very large. Excellent supper arrangements are being made, and the floor and music, the latter being provided by Fox’s orchestra, will be of the very best. Patrons are assured of a very enjoyable evening’s dancing, while at the same time they will be able to help a worthy cause by attending-
