NEW ZEALAND y. 'VARSITY TEAM. KEEPING THE FLAG FLYING. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received May 25, 1.20 a,m. Sydney, May 24. The New Zealand University footballers were entertained at luncheon by the University staff of Sydney. Mr H. D. Wood, president of the New South Wales Rugby Union, stated they were unable to estimate the debt owing to New Zealand for keeping the union flag flying. If it were not for New Zealand, Sydneyites would have no one to play against in recent years. The Maori team is expected to play its first match on August 1, and will play three matches in Sydney, one at Mudgee, ana one against South Coast.
