/TO START JULY 1. PRIZES TOTAL £600,000. The latest information available in Wellington in regard to the proposed Aerifel Derby Round the World is that the race is to start on July 1 next; but this date is not yet definitely fixed. The first prize will be one million dollars (£200,000), if a complete flight round the world is made. Other prizes total two million dollars ( £400,000).

The conditions are that the race must be finished in 100 days, and must be flown between 15 and -16 degrees north. The flight may be made in any direction between these limits. Control posts will be established along the course, and contestants will not be allowed to skip more than one such post at a time. In America the controls will be at New York, Chicago, Omaha, and Seattle.
