CRICKET.
COMPLAINT OF BARRACKING. TEST TEAM DIFFICULTIES. By Telosraph.—Press Assn —Copyright. Received May 23, 9.40 p.m. London, May 23. Armstrong, interviewed, complained of barracking at the Yorkshire match, and the absence of comment thereon in the English newspapers. He said it was worse than anything that occurred in Australia, which Wilson cabled Home about. The Daily Telegraph eays that for the first time in cricket history the difficulty of the selection committee is not whom to leave out, but who to put in. The team looks like a better side than was defeated in Australia, but contains more than one weak fieldsman, and runs can scarcely be expected from two or three of its members. The selection committee deliberated for eight hours before announcing the names of the test team.
It is “not disclosed whether Fry is unable to play or was not chosen on account of age.
