UNREST AT NIUE.
MARTIAL LAW PROCLAIMED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. Details from Niue Island show that martial law has been proclaimed. All roads leading to Alofi, the seat of government, and the port of entry, are guarded, and sentinels challenge all entering. Anestee Matiu, described as an agitator, is influencing a fairly large following. Returned soldiers sided with the authorities, having a good effect.
