COURSING.

TARANAKI CLUB. The Taranaki Plumpton Coursing Club opens its season on Saturday next at Gle'iavon, Waiwakaiho, nominations for which close with the secretary, Mr. F. Doughty, at 8 o’clock on Thursday evening. The course is in splendid order, and the club has a fine lot of strong hares, whlcl:- have been regularly trained during the last few weeks, and aro sure to extend the bounds to the fullest extent. A number of outside dogs, including arrivals from Auckland, will be competing, and have already arrived here, while it is confidently expected there will be a big entry of local dogs. A good afternoon’s sport is therefore assured.
