Evidently some districts of New Zealand are not short of money, as the following from the Southland News indicates: There was such an overflow of money at the headquarters of the executive of the Southland Memorial Fund to-day that it was impossible for Mr. Winsloe to give even an estimate of the amount. The town collectors generally report t'hat they have met with very few refusals, and the secretary and staff are rushed to list the amounts contained in the envelope*.
