GERMANY ARRANGING PAYMENT. HOUSES FOR FRANCE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Berlin, May 18. The Government is negotiating with the big banking firms to release 12 milliards of Treasury bonds for the payment to the Allies the balance of the 20 milliards due on May 1. Twenty-five thousand wooden houses have been sent to France for erection in the devastated areas.
