VIEWS OF COUNTY COUNCILS. PROVISIONS IN NEW BILL. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Among matters dealt with by the executive of the New Zealand Counties’ Association was consideration of the proposed Main Roads Bill. A committee was appointed to set out the main features of the Bill as soon as it was circulated, and place same before the county councils of the Dominion, together with the conference’s suggestions to assist bodies in considering the Bill before appointing delegates to the next conference of county councils during the next session of Parliament. In reply to the Good Roads Association’s request for a joint conference to discuss the Bill, it was decided that a committee of each body meet and endeavor to secure unanimity in their applications for legislation to secure improved roads for the Dominion.
