EVERYBODY’S. *THE BRAND OF LOPEZ.” Sessue Hayakawa, the Oriental star, shifts to sunny Spain for the scenes of “The Brand of Lopez,” in which he is seen at Everybody’s Theatre to-night. Hayakawa plays the part of Vasco Lopez, one of the most famous matadors, or bull-fighters, in the kingdom of Spain. He is a man of very quick temper, and of marked jealousy, and these traits draw him into escapades which make his career one of thrills and adventure. There is more action and conflict in this picture than in any Hayakawa has recently made, save perhaps only “The Tong Man.” His outlawry leads up to the dramatic series of episodes which show Lopez as a heroic figure touched with pathos. The picture has a realistic ending. An old screen favorite, Florence Turner, leads Hayakawa’s support. The bill includes gazette, Christie comedy, and travelog. The matinee to-morrow commences at 2 p.m. THE PEOPLE’S, LAST NIGHT OF “DANGEROUS TO MEN.” Viola Dana has the most important drama of her starring career in “Dangerous to Men,” concluding to-night at the People’s. The screen play is an adaptation by A. P. Younger of the famous English drama, “Eliza Comes to Stay,” which was produced in London with the author, H. V. Esmond, and his wife, Eva Moore, in the leading roles, and which scored one of the biggest successes of the modem English stage. The role of Eliza taxes to the full Viola Dana’s versatile powers as a comedienne, picturing the development of a tomboy school girl who finds herself at eighteen thrust into a bachelor’s household as his ward, there to discover her own seductive charm and, how it makes her regarded as a dangerous woman. It is said to be Miss Dana’s favorite role. The bill includes gazette, Christie comedy, and “Elmo” No. 17. Tomorrow's change presents Owen Moore in “The Poor Simp,” a rollicking comedy drama, gazette, comedy, and “Smashing Barriers.” The matinee to-morrow commences at 2 P-m.
