Professor Newton, of London University, lecturing on his recent visit to Australian and New Zealand universities, eulogised Sydney and Melbourne, which were the strongest. Both undoubtedly had medical schools which ranked among the best in the world. He stated no New Zealand universities complained bitterly of being cramped and crippled.
