SUPPLYING SCHOOL BOOKS.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. After a lengthy discussion, the Education Board decided to set up a special committee to inquire fully into and report on the supply of school books to pupils, together with details of the probable cost.
R.S.A. MATTERS.
Wellington, Last Night. The Returned Soldiers’ Association discussed the proposed soldier settlement at Hutt, and decided to confer with the Minister in reference to the proposal to erect houses and road the settlement. Regarding necessities, New Zealand men in Australia and Australian soldiers in the Dominion, it was decided to recommend the Dominion executive to urge the Government to establish a system of reciprocal repatriation.
