ENTERTAINMENTS.

THE PEOPLE’S,

BUCK JONES AND EILEEN PERCY.

Eileen Percy; pretty William Fox star, will be at the People’s Theatre to-night, in her latest Fox picture, “The Land of Jazz.” This picture is of the rapid fire comedy type, and is said to be the best story in which Miss Percy has appeared. “The Land of Jazz” has Some merry scenes on an island where a Dr. Carruthers is studying mental diseases. One of his patients believes himself to be the greatest shimmy dancer in the world, and he does the dance so fascinatingly that he turns the whole place into a wriggling mass of humanity. Buck Jones also appears in • Just ’Pals,” a lively tale of a lazy man told in an uncommon way. Latest Fox gazettes are also to be shown. The great play “King of the Circus” will be featured shortly at this theatre

EVERYBODY’S

LAST NIGHT OF “SEX.”

Undoubtedly the best role the star has ever had is that taken by Louise Glaum in “Sex,” screening finally to-night, and consequently she rises to the occasion by giving a portrayal marked for its emotional depths. Gorgeously dressed and lavishly appointed in every way, “Sex” bids fair to be one of the most prominent of screen achievements of the past year. Sound logic, coupled with distinct touches of realism, are a keynote of a remarkable production, and many people who see Louise Glaum in this picture will realise that they have never before seen this star’s best work. The bill includes gazette, comedy and “Dragon’s Net.” To-morrow’s change presents beautiful Corinne Griffith in the Vitagraph special feature, “Bab’s Candidate.” “Bride 13,” gazettes and comedy are also on the bill.
