QUARREL ON STEAMER.
SHOT WOUNDS AN ENGINEER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, May Id. Alfred Pottinger, fourth engineer on the steamer Mahia lying at Port Chalmers, was shot in the chest with a small calibre revolver on Saturday evening by Charles Howard Tipping, sixth engineer, as a result of a quarrel. The injured man was removed to the Dunedin hospital, and Tipping was arrested.
