FUSION WITH GERMANY.

Received May 15, 5.5 p.m. Vienna, May 13. ’ The Chamber has adopted a Bill, empowering the Government to request the League of Nations to assent to Austria taking a plebiscite on the question of fusion with Germany. No time has been fixed for the plebiscite, indicating that the proposal is dependent on the outcome of the general European situation and the success or otherwise of Austria’s financial negotiations with the Entente. —Aus.-N.Z.
