THE THYROID GLAND CASE,

According to the medical evidence at the inquest concerning! the death of Mr. Alfred Wilson, death was due to angina pectoris. There was no sign of any recent operation in connection with thyroid gland treatment, and a verdict was returned that death was due to natural causes.
Mr. Alfred Wilson, an ex-Australian of independent means, well known in Sydney, and 70 years of age, recently went to Vienna, where he received the thyroid gland treatment. He declared he f elt twenty years younger. Professor Steinbach, of Vienna, promised that the treatment would be effective for twenty or thirty years. Mr. Wilson thereupon engaged the Aubert Hall to lecture on the subject. Many doctors were interested in the so-called rejuvenation, but he was found dead in bed on the morning of his lecture.
