PROTESTS AGAINST DELAY.

London, April 29.

A further step in the campaign against the practice of withholding cinematograph films from the public for sometimes many months was taken at a meeting s of the special committee of the Cinematograph Exhibitors’ Association last night, which passed a resolution declaring that no more films should be booked unless released before August 31, 1922. Other resolutions were: —That films should be released within six months of being shown to exhibitors; that there should be no more “block-booking” or hiring of blocks of poor films in order to secure one good one; and that no new pictures should be booked for dates already fixed for other films.
