FEUD IN VIRGINE.

GUERILLA WARFARE REPORTED.

MINERS ATTACK TOWNS,

By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received May 13, 9.15 p.m. New York, May 13. Telegrams from Williamson, Virginia, report that violent guerilla warfare has broken out in the mining country of Mingo, on the Kentucky border, the striking miners firing from the mountains on five small towns, the inhabitants of which were panic-stricken and many fled. Several were killed and wounded.

The State Governor has urgently requested that Federal troops be sent to quell the disorder, which is the outcome of a feud against the prohibition agents. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
