REPARATIONS.
GERMANY CAN PAY.
SOUND CONDITIONS REVEALED.
{YORKERS READY TO TOIL.
By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, May 12. Mr. Renwick (a Daily Chronicle representative who is investigating conditions in Germany) telegraphs that as the result of his tour of industrial Germany he is convinced that it is well within Germany’s power to pay up to the extent the Allies have fixed. The Germans said they could not deliver coal, nevertheless they have increased their contributions from 800,000 tons to 2,200,000 tons monthly, yet industry is not suffering. The Germans are also able to export lavishly to Holland. A vast number of workers are willing to work and enable Germany to pay the reparations.
