CAMPAIGN AGAINST DISLOYALTY.
By Telegr»ph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Sydney, May 13. The campaign against disloyalty continues active. Many meetings and public bodies in this and other States have carried resolutions against the Union Jack burning incident, some demanding strong Governmental action to suppress disloyalty.
ORIENT MAIL CONTRACT.
Melbourne, May 13. In the House of Representatives the Postmaster-General submitted the new mail contract with the Orient Company. He explained that it was only intended to cover the transitional period until the shipping position was more settled and was terminable on 12 months’ notice. It provided for a fourweekly in place of a fortnightly service. The annual subsidy wa* £130,000.
