THE RARAWA

The- Rarawa arrived from Onehunga early yesterday morning with passengers and 200 tons of cargo, including about 60 tons of sugar. The vessel sailed again for Onehunga at 8.20 p.m.

CITY OF WINCHESTER TO SAIL.

The U.S. and A. chartered steamer City of Winchester, which, has been discharging benzine, is expected to complete some time to-day and sail for Wellington, for which port she still has some cargo. The vessel is to load frozen meat under the auspices of the S.S. and A. Line at Lyttelton, Port Chalmers and Bluff. She will return to Lyttelton to sail finally for the United Kingdom about June 14. THE KENNEDY SAILS. The coastal steamer Kennedy, after discharging inward cargo from Wellington, loaded a quantity of tallow and left early yesterday afternoon for Wellington. KAMONA WITH COAL. The Kamona left Westport pt 11,50 a.m. yesterday for New Plymouth yyith 1000 tons of coal to put out here. She should arrive this morning. MAINDY LODGE TO BERTH. The steamer Maindy Lodge, which arrived in the stream from Newcastle on Thursday afternoon and had to anchor |here because there was 1 no berth available, will come alongside when the City of Winchester sails today. The Maindy Lodge has about 3000 tons of coal, consigned to the Government, to disctarge. AUSTRALCRAG DUE MONDAY. The Union Steam Ship Company, who are agents for the Australcrag, advise that the vessel is scheduled to leave Auckland at o a.m. to-day for New Plymouth, and should arrive here on Monday night. After discharging her cargo of slag and other manures the vessel will leave this port for Sydney. The Australcrag arrived at Auckland from Ghent, Belgium, on Tuesday evening. She left Ghent on March 17, and arrived at Panama on April 9 after a fairly rough passage. Next day the steamer sailed for Pitcairn Island, which was reached on April 24. the voyage being resumed the same afternoon. Fairly good weather was experinced until leaving Pitcairn Island, when the Australcrag encountered a succession of west-south-west gales. The vessel rolled and labored heavily, shipping seas fore and aft, but sustained no damage. She brought 5000 tons of slag, 1000 tons of which will be discharged at Auckland and the remainder at New Plymouth. Captain F. 'J. Ogilvie is in command. CORINNA TO-MORROW. The Corinna left Lyttelton at 8 p.m. on Thursday for Nelson and New Plymouth, and is expected to arrive here to-morrow with general cargo to discharge. WAIMATE IN THE SOUTH. The latest advice of ti e New Zealand Shipping Company’s Waimate is that she leaves Wellington on Monday for Oamaru and New Plymouth, and should arrive here about May 22. • . { THE SUFFOLK. The Federal Line advise that the steamer Suffolk is due at Auckland on Tuesday from West of England ports via Australia. The vessel should arrive at Wellington about a week later, and at New Plymouth about the end of May. SURREY AT AUCKLAND. The Federal liner Surrey arrived at Auckland on Thursday from Liverpool via Panama. The vessel is expected to reach Wellington on Monday week. ATHENIC LEFT COLON. Cable advice has been received by the Shaw, Savlll and Albion Company that the Athenic left Colon on the 10th inst. for Southampton and London, en route from Wellington. The vessel sailed from Wellington on April 15. PALOONA LEFT MELBOURNE. Cable news has been received by the Union Company that the Paloona left Melbourne on Wednesday for Bluff, Dunedin, Lyttelton, and Wellington. The vessel is due at Wellington next Thursday, and is to sail on the 20th inst. for Melbourne direct. WAIHEMO LEFT LOS ANGELES. Cable advice received by the Union Company states that the Waihemo left Los Angeles on May 2 cargo-laden for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Sydney and Melbourne. She is due at Auckland about ’May 28.

The Union Company advise that the WaL hora, -which is now discharging cargo from Calcutta and Singapore at Auckland, is to leave the last-mentioned port on Monday for Wellington. The. vessel is due there on Thursday morning witki part cargo to unload. KEELUNG LEFT NEW YORK. The steamer Keelung left New York on April 10 cargo-laden for Lyttelton, Dunedin, Melbourne and Sydney, via Newport News and Panama. The vessel, which is running under the auspices of the A. and A. Line, is due at Lyttelton about May, 20. PORT SYDNEY TO LOAD. The Port Sydney is to leave Australia on the 20th inst. for Wellington. The vessel will load for Home at Gisborne, Napier and Wellington, and will afterwards go to Australia to fill up, proceeding thence via the Cape of Good Hope route to London. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS.
