THE CENSUS.
MANAIA TOW DISTRICT. Following are the returns for the Manaia Town District: Males 300, females 345; total 645. At the census taken in 1916 the total was 606. The census of Oamaru borough gives the population as 5728, an increase of 588 over that of 1916. The population of Greater Wanganui is 21,376, compared with 17,849 last census.
