NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. CLOSE OF SUMMER SEASON. Summer season play was concluded yesterday on the Leech Street greens of the New Plymouth Club. The greens have greatly improved during the last few weeks, and a very enjoyable game resulted. Afternoon tea was served by the wives of the vice-presi-dents, Messrs. W. Johnson and F. C. J. Bellringer The match was between A and B teams, the former winning by 13 points. Details are as follows, the A team being mentioned first:— Furlong, Woollett, A. Smart, Hill (s) 14; v. Gibson, Morton, Binnie, Rolston (s) 27. Hoby, Hooker, Rundle, Bellringer (s) 28; v. Rundle, Ambury, Dixon, Fookes (s) 24. Chaney, Hooper, Knuckey, Luscombe (s) 25; v. Looney, Beatson, Paton, Washer (s) 15. J. Avery, Detmp&ey, Carter, Johnston (3) 29; v. A. Smith, T. Avery, Wood, Thomson (s) 17. Totals.—A 96, B 83. NEW ZEALANDERS DEFEATS.
