SHOPKEEPERS are hereby notified that in accordance with Section 7 (b) of The Shops and Offices Amendment Act, 1920, that it is not lawful for the occupier of any shop (including an Hotel or Restaurant), to sell or deliver any goods the sale of which is comprised in the principal business of the occupier of any other shop in the same District, while such last mentioned shop is required to .be closed pursuant to a requisition under Section 25 of the principal Act: Provided that the occupier of an Hotel or Restaurant may at any time ,-eIl tojbacco. cigars or cigarettes to lodgers in that Hotel or Restaurant. Information as to the hours fixed by requisition for the closing of shops in all trades may- be obtained on application to the Inspector of Factories, who will also advise shopkeepers as to what goods may or may not be sold after specified hours.
