SWIMMING.

AN AUCKLAND PROTEST. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The Auckland Centre of the Amateur Swimming Association passed a resolution viewing with alarm and strongly protesting against the decision of the New Zealand Council in declaring Leo Kronfeld has forfeited his aunateur status. It contends that Kronfeld transgressed innocently, if he transgressed at all, and requests the council to expunge at once from its records such disqualification. In the event of the request not being acceded to, it will call an indignation meeting, and pledges itself to use every effort to right an injustice which it feels is the result of a hasty judgment, even at the cost of Incurring the displeasure of the Dominion Council.
