Grafton 19 beat University 3; Marists 19 beat Newton 11; Shore 8 beat Parnell 3; and Grafton 25 beat College Rifles 10. GAMES IN WAIRARAPA. Masterton, May 7. The Wairarapa Rugby Union's championship fixtures were continued this afternoon in fine weather. At Masterton Red Star and Masterton seniors met, and in a lamentably poor game Masterton won by 9 points to 3. At Carterton, Grey town seniors defeated Carterton by 12 points to 6. -X At Featherston, Gladstone Featherston by 16 to 3. THE ’VARSITY TEAM. TO TOUR AUSTRALIA. Dunedin, May 8. Mr. J. N. Mijlard, of Wellington, who is the sole selector of the New Zealand University team which is to play a series of matches in Australia, has picked the following players : Full-back—Siddels (Victoria). Three-quarters—Jackson and Aitken (Victoria), Ward (Otago), Wiseman (Canterbury), E’ddows (Auckland). Five-eighths—Perry (Otago), Maxwell (Auckland), Dalgleish (Canterbury). Half-back —Ross (Auckland). Forwards—Molloy’ (Auckland), Munro (Canterbury), Scott (Wellington), hookers —Hansen and Burns (Wellington), Jackson, Craven, and Campbell (Canterbury), Harty (Otago), Mackay (Auckland). Wing-forward—Cabot (Otago). The team is to assemble at Wellington before May 18, and if any man is unable to take part in the trip he must notify the University Football Council, Auckland, bmmediately. The team will play a representative Wellington team on May 18, • and sail for Sydney on the 19th. The team Is expected back by June 22. CENTRAL DIVISION. NEXT SATURDAY’S MATCHES. The following is the draw for the second, third and fourth grade matches in the Central Division, to be played next Saturday:— SECOND GRADE. Midhirst v. Inglewood, at. Midhirst, 2 p.m., Mr. Wilson; Tariki v. Toko, at Toko, 3 p.m., Mr. Seoon; Stratford v. Strathmore, Stratford Park, 3 p.m., Mr. Thompson. THIRD GRADE. Eltham v. Stratford, Stratford A. and P., 1.30 p.m., Mr. Jackson; Toko and Stratford D.H.S. byes.’ FOURTH GRADE. Eltham v. Stratford, at Eltham, 1.30 p.m., Mr. Blanchard;' Inglewood and Stratford D.H.S. byes. Owing to the holidays the Stratford District High School will have byes on May 14 and 21 in grades three and four, and provision will be made to play their matches at a later date. NORTHERN DIVISION.
