SHOOTING SEASON, 1921. to .shoot Cock Pheasants and Californian Quail in the Taranaki Acclimatisation Society’s district from May 2 to July 31, 1921, will be issued from the following Post Offices: New Plymouth, Opunake, Inglewood, Waitara, Okato, Pungarehu, Rahotu, Tariki, Urenui, Uruti. Licenses may be obtained also from the Secretary. A Close Season is being observed for Native Pigeons. Note. —Licenses are available only for districts in which issued. During the past month, visits have been paid to Mangahao by representatives of the Progress League and the Hydro-Electrical Powei League, and both have voiced their apreciation of what the Y.M.C.A. is doing at Mangahao. The greatest need -is the erection of a Hut, ahd the Y.M.C.A. are hoping that this will be done before the winter weather sets in at its worst A great number of immigrants are on the job here, and are taking special interest in the Y.M.C.A. work, and making good on their jobs, states the Y.M.C.A. report. 1
