NAPOLEON CENTENARY.

SERVICE AT NOTRE DAME.

By Telegraph.—-Press Assn.—Copyright. Paris, May 4. There was a vast congregation at the Napoleon ceremony at Notre Dame. There was no catafalque, only the violet pall which covered Napoleon’s coffin when it was first taken to the Invalides. The service opened with Berlioz’s funeral march and ended with the Chant d’Apotheoae, including the trumpet notes of the Garde Republicaine in the galleries, which rang out the general salute at the moment of the elevation of the Host. At the place where Napoleon crowned himself in 1805 stood Marshals, Ministers, Senators, Deputies and Ambassadors.
