BOOT TRADE AWARD. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, May 5. The Arbitration Court award for the New Zealand Federated Boot Trades Association has been announced. Wages for males are Is 9|d per hour, with a bonus of 3|d, eight hours of work and 44 hours weekly. Apprentices begin at 15e weekly and increase to £2. Females who have served five years and upwards receive £2 5s a week, computed by the hour. Hot wax thread machinists receive £2 12s 6d for 44 hours. The award is a Dominion one.
