IMMIGRANTS FROM HOME.
By Telegraph.—Press Amu —Copyright. Received May 5, 10.55 p.m. Melbourne, May 5. The Federal Director of Immigration states that, providing the conditions remain favorable, Australia will attract 15,000 co 20,000 immigrants this year, and 50,000 next year.
RED FLAG INCIDENT.
Received May 5, 10.55 p.m. Sydney, May 5. Members of the Sailors and Soldiers* Mothers, Wives and Widtfws’ Association marched to Mr. Dooley’s office to interview him and protest against the burning of the Union Jack. Mr. Dooley was absent, and after expressing dissatisfaction the women dispersed.
