WEDDING.
FRYER—DAWSON.
A pretty wedding was solemnised in the Presbyterian Church, Hawera, on Wednesday last, the Rev. H. B. Gray officiating. The contracting parties were Miss Annie Fryer, fifth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Fryer, Hawera, and Mr. J. A. Dawson, eldest son of Mrs. M. Dawson, Tahakoha, Dunedin. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a frock of ivory crepe de chine, relieved with georgette, draped with gold beads, and wore the usual veil and orange blossoms. She carried an exquisite shower bouquet, the present of Miss E. Pendreigh. The bridesmaid, Miss Lydia Fryer, sister of the bride, wore a frock of fawn georgette, with panels and bodice of saxe, with hat to match. Mr. Dawson, brother of the groom, was groomsman. The Wedding March was played by Miss Crabb as the party left the church. A reception was afterwards held jn the Islington Tea Rooms, which were tastefully decorated for the occasion, and a large number of relatives and friends were entertained. Mr. and Mrs. Dawson left by the afternoon train for Wellington and Dunedin, where the honeymoon is to be spent. The bride’s A ravelling costume was of navy serge.—Star.
