Stratford, April 30. The Town Hall has been engaged for Thursday, May 19, for the annual grand concert to be held under the auspices of the Stratford A. and P. Association. All the concerts which have been held previously by the association have proved extremely successful, being voted by the public as among the finest concerts provided in Stratford, and this year the concert should be equally as good, if not better than those previously held. As is tfsual, the committee have secured the best available talent and the programme to be submitted should meet with universal approval. Mrs. Hughes‘Johnson, of Wanganui, who is the champion harp player of Australasia, heads the list of artists, and with her are Mr. George Swan (humorist), Miss Audrey Hughes-Johnson, the clever young classical dancer who danced before the Prince of Wales at Wanganui, Madame Ivo .Symes (contralto), who delighted a big Stratford audience last year, Mr. Harold Roberts (baritone) and Miss Dorothy Hughes-Johnson, a violinist of great promise who is the holder of the Victor Harris memorial gold medal. Miss Curran, L.A.B.\ A.T.C.L., will be the pianist. This year the programme will be more varied than was the case in previous years and will include a number of character sketches and duos.

Wanted—looo babies to photograph. Every mother likes to have a picture of the baby, and we have a system which involves so small an outlay that anyone can have the baby photographed for a trifle. Call and ask about it at McAllister’s Studio, Stratford.
