ENTERTAINMENTS.

EVERYBODY’S. EARLE WILLIAMS IN “CAPTAIN SWIFT.” A famous stage character of the last decade, played with spectacular success in England by Sir Herbert Tree and in America by that father of American Actors, Maurice Barrymore, is Haddon Chambers’ brain-child, “Captain Swift.” The screen is responsible for the revival of this popular and romantic figure, and “Captain Swift” is being screened at Everybody’s with Earle Williams in the title role. The star has never been seen to better advantage than in this daring insouciant role of the gentleman bushranger, who takes a daring chance to lead a new life and find what is every man’s right, love and understanding. The bill includes two-reel comedy, gazettes and Travelog.

THE PEOPLE’S/ LAST NIGHT OF “EVANGELINE.” •The last showing in the engagement of “Evangeline,” the William Fox motion picture version of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s great poem, will be given to-night at the People’s Theatre. This picture has attracted much attention because of the extreme beauty of its scenes and its unswerving fidelity to the original poem as well as because of the work of Miss Miriam Cooper in the title role. It is seldom that a motion picture so exquisite in story and treatment is presented to the public, and Mr. Fox is to be congratulated on his latest contribution to the betterment of screen entertainment. “Evangeline” in this direction is revelation. The bill includes “Sunshine” comedy and gazettes. There will be a complete change tomorrow. THE EMPIRE. LUBOWSKI FAMILY TO-MORROW.
