ADULTERATED MILK.
RETAILERS FINED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.-r-Copyright. Christchurch, April 26. At the Magistrate’s Court William Thomas Henderson, milk vendor, was fined £2O for having sold adulterated milk. The magistrate said the milk was unfit for consumption by infants. Defendant could, if he desired, sue his supplier, if he believed he had watered the milk. John Shortall, milk retailer, was fined £5 and costs for having sold milk under the standard. The prosecution was brought under the new regulation regarding the freshness and staleness of milk.
