A SHORTAGE OF SUPPLIES WOOD AND COKE MUST BE USED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. A statement regarding the supply of coal for the winter was made to-day by the Hon. D. H. Guthrie, ActingMinister in Charge of Coal Control. He snya he has informed the Coal Committee that there is little chance of the full requirements of coal for domes-: tic purposes being available, though the shortage will probably not be so aoute as last winter. Householders will have to rely principally on wood and coke during the coming winter. Dealers hold large stocks of wooi; and the Government haa over 2500 cords.
