CANTERBURY RUGBY UNION. QUESTION OF THE RULES. Christchurch, Last Night. At a meeting of the management committee of the Canterbury Rugby Union it was decided to approach the New Zealand Union with a request that a fourth test match against the South Africans be played at Christchurch. The attitude adopted by Auckland with regard to rules was discussed, and a onotion was carried that Canterbury should support Auckland until a further conference with the English Union is held. SATURDAY’S RESULTS. FIRST JUNIORS. HAWERA (14) v. PATEA (3). This match was played at Hawera on Saturday, and ended in a. good win for Hawera. One try was scored by Wylie in the first spell. In the second he scored two more, one being converted, and a fine goal was placed from a mark by Bohan. Patea. scored one try. Hawera showed very good form for a first match. At Inglewood on Saturday Okato thirds defeated the local team by 24 points to nil.
