COLORED SEAMEN CONTROVERSY. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. Received April 24, 5.5 p.m. Sydney. April 24. The Federated Seahien’s Union have called a stop-work meeting for Tuesday to discuss the admission of colored seamen to the union. This is a result of the recent utterance by Mr. Walsh, general secretary, that if two thousand Chinese applied for membership they would be admitted. SMALLPOX ON A STEAMER. Received April 24, 5.5 p.m. Sydney, April 24. The steamer Wonganella, from Batavia, has been quarantined with a case of smallpox on board.
