TARANAKI JOCKEY CLUB. EIGHTH TARANAKI STAKES. The eighth Taranaki Stakes, to be decided at the club’s autumn meeting, to be held in February, 1922, will be worth 750 sovs., of which 150 sovs. go to the second horse, and 100 sovs. to the third horse. The distance is six furlongs, and the event is for horses two years old and upwards at the time of starting, weight for age with penalties and allowances. For Instance, winners after August 1, 1921, of a race or races the collective value of which is 250 sovs. carry a penalty of 31b, of 500 sovs. 51b, of 750 sovs. 71b, and of 1000 sovs. 101 b extra. Maiden four-year-olds and upwards at time of starting are allowed 101 b, three-year-olds 71b, two-year-olds 51b. Entries close with the secretary, Mr. E. P. Webster, New Plymouth, on Friday, June 10, at 9 p.m.
