The question of forming a producers’ shipping company was discussed at a meeting of the Dominion executive of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union. The executive met the producers’ committee and discussed the proposals, and after the discussion the executive left committee to continue consideration of the various proposals made. ThV* meeting endorsed the proposal to ask tlie Government to issue a proclamation postponing wool sales pending the conclusion of negotiations with the "Bawra” The matter of increased values being placed on rural land in recent valuations was brought up. It was pointed out that many farmers would have no 1 income from which to pay land tax. It was decided to interview the Minister. The Dominion conference was fixed for July 26 to July 29 inclusive.
