Ludy Langer lowered the 220 yards New Zealand record of. 2min. 37sec. to-night by 5 3-ssec„ finishing second, being beaten by less than a yard after giving away 35 seconds. The Canterbury ladles’ 100 yards championship resulted’: Gwitha Shand 1, K. Brlsted 2, M. C. Simes' 3. Time, 72 2-ssec. All three secured standards.
