FUTURE OF EGYPT.
DEMAND FOR INDEPENDENCE. AIMS '’OF NATIONALISTS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn —Copyright. Received April 20, 1.10 a.m. Cairo, April 18. A statement purporting to represent reliable Nationalist opinion declares that Egyptians are unable to accept an a.greement based on the proposals of the Milner Commission, unless it is in accordance with the Nationalists’ reservations. The delegation is apparently prepared to enter into negotiations aiming: (1) At the abolition of the Protectorate; (2) at the recognition of external and internal independence; (3) at respect for reservations; and (4) at a solution guaranteeing Britain’s interests and other special foreign interests. —Aus. and N.Z.
