NEW PLYMOUTH ABATTOIRS.
PAST YEAR’S OPERATIONS. There was slaughtered for local consumption in New Plymouth, last month, 231 cattle, 26 calves, 832 sheep, 159 lambs, 160 pigs, 10 sucking pigs; and 209 tripes were cleaned. Compared with the previous month they show an increase of 21 cattle, 104 sheep, 10 lambs, 66 pigs, 11 tripes, and a decrease of 9 calves. One bullock, 1 sheep, and 2 pigs were condemned. Fees due for the month totalled £lB3, an increase of £2B over last month’s revenue. Figures for the year ending March 31, 1921, are as follows:
Tripes, etc., cleaned numbered 239-5, an increase of 143. There were condemned 25 cattle, 3 calves, 5 sheep, and 19 pigs. Fees due for the year were £lB7B 19s 2d; rents £73; chilling charges £2B 9s 2d; sale of blood £ll 14s; total, £1992 2s 4d, an increase of £152 Tss Bd.
