WELLINGTON ELECTIONS. By Telegraph.--Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. There is a plethora of candidates for the local bodies elections. For the Mayoralty there are only two, Mr. Wright, M.P., a member of the City Council, and Mr. Hickey (Labor). For the City Council there are 4*2 nominations, including a complete Labor “ticket.” There are nine nominations for four vacancies on the Harbor Board and a Labor “ticket” has been nominated. For the Hospital Board, fourteen vacancies. there are twenty-three nominated.

CHEAPER MEAT. Auckland, Last Night. The prices investigation tribunal today fixed the local meat prices, which show a reduction of about 2d per lb.
