SCHOOL COMMITTEES.
NEXT WEEK’S ELECTIONS. NOMINATIONS RECEIVED. The annual meetings of householders for the election' of school committees takes place next Monday night. In the case of Central, Fitzroy, Vogeltown and West End, which are in the urban district of New Plymouth, nominations closed last night. CENTRAL. The following nominations have been received for the New Plymouth Central School Committee: Messrs. S. G. Smith, M.P., F. A. Coleman, T. M. Avery, C. M. Lindop, T. Hardgrave, W. S. Cobham, G. W. H. Robertshaw, V. Elliot, F. T. Davis. Nine members are required. WEST END. There are 10 nominations for the nine seats on the West End Committee — viz., Messrs. J. S. S. Medley, J. Brokenshire. J. Garcia, W: H. Broome, R. J. Deal a, J. Lobb, J. Hawker, E. T. Petty, J. E. B. Hoskin and A. Coad. The first seven are members of the present committee. Messrs. W. J. Bennett and J. Hamilton did not seek re-election. FITZROY. The following nominations were received for the Fitzroy School Committee: Messrs. Roberts, H. Layman, J. Martin, H. Hall, V W. Ardern, F. Duckworth, R. L. Parkin, V. George, G. F. Goldsworthy, A. J. Perrott, and Rev. J. F. Martin. Nine members are required. VOGELTOWN. The following nominations were received at Vogeltown: Messrs. N. Allen, H. R. Boswell, A. C. Evans, H. V. S. Griffiths, W Healy, R. Tippine, G. Tippins, G. Wigley. Five members are required.
