LONDON; MARKETS. London, April 14. At the free wool sales there was an average selection, nearly aIL merinos. Competition was maintained, chiefly from the Germans, at full late rates. At the Bradford market small business is being done, quotations being irregular and nominal. Sixty-fours are 33d, sG’s 22d, 50’s 19Ad, 4(i’s 14jd. Wheat. —Steady and fair business. Sales of Australian made 84s ex ship. Flour. —Quiet. Australian ex store 67s 6d. Lots arriving in the latter half of May are offering at 60s c.i.f. Oats.—Steady, Australian, ex quay 36s Sd. Barley.—Nominally unchanged. Beans and peas.—-Quiet and unchanged. Sugar.—-Granulated, 695. LONDON WOOL SALES. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile, Ltd., Stratford, have received the following cable from their London house, dated April 15: London wool sales.—Better tone. Competition more active. Prices generally 5 per cent higher. Medium crossbred, B|d, coarse 40’s 6d, 36’s 5Jd. AMERICAN WHEAT AND FLOUR. New York, April 14. Wheat has reached the lowest price since July, 1916, deliveries selling for 98 cents (4s Id) at Kansas City. Flour, at Minneapolis, sold under 8 dollars a barrel, the lowest since 1913.,
THE DAIRY PRODUCE MARKET. By Telegraph.—Dress Association. * Dunedin, April 16. The secretary of the South Island Dairy Association is advised, by . cable that cheese shipped Home on consignment in the Orari was cleared at 140 s to 143 s for white and 162 s for colored. The Armagh shipment is selling at 146 s and 162 s respectively.
