A collision occurred in Victoria Channel on Saturday between the Otago Harbor Board’s old pilot launch and the Huddart Parker steamer Westralia, outward bound for Melbourne.

The launch, which was subsequently towed to Port Chalmers, was in charge of Mr. McKenzie, who used it as a pilot boat for many years, but she is now in the services of the Harbor Board’s engineering department. She was badly damaged, and now lies awash alongside one of the punts atzPort Chalmers.
