COURSING.
NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the New Plymouth Coursing Club was held last night, Mr. Frank Nichols presiding over a good attendance of members. Prior to the business ot the xneet■ng a vote of condolence with the relatives of the late Mr. Jas. Clarke, who vas president of the club, was recorded in the minutes. The annual statement of accounts showed a credit balance at bank of £9 14s lOd, the total receipts being £l7l 15s 9d. Included in this was a credit of £26 10s 9d from the Waterloo Cup. £ll 15s from the Taranaki Cup 1 meeting, £l2 from the combined TaranhkiEgmont meeting, £5l from subscriptions, £4O from honorary members and vice-presidents, and sundry receipts £7 10s.
The following officers were elected:— President, Mr. R. Barlow; hon. sec., Mr. F. Doughty (re-elected); treasurer, Mr. F. Nichols; committee, Messrs. P. Stainton (chairman), A. Haskell, W Haskell, F. Barriball, A. Giddy, H. Barriball, C. Allen, W. O’Donnell, W Hughes, A. McGibbon, A. Walsh, P. Johnson, R. Bartley, C. Haskell, E. Haskell, P. Drury, F. Scrivener, R. Gar ier, F. Haskell, F. Nicholls, S. Barriba , G. Malam, R. Davy, H. Street, F. J ret’t, C. Evetts, B. Tippins, W. Yardle 11. Jeffries; executive, Messrs. W. Donnell, A. Haskell, A Walsh, R. i .j.tley, A. Megwen, C. Allen, W. Hughes, and W. Haskell, chairman and secretary • (ex officio). It was deckled that a letter of thanks be sent to Mr. Feaver, of Opunake, ftar the donation of an oil painting ot Australian Cadet and Malster, winner ancS. runner-up respectively at the Waterloo’ Cup meeting.
The annual subscription was fixed the same as last year, namely 10s per member.
It was stated that the chib would probably hold a meeting during May.
